planning permission obtained for Victorian terrace extensions in Cambridge conservation area

These two properties on Albert Street in Cambridge are defined as buildings important to the character of the area.

They are adjoining unlisted buildings of gault brick, early Victorian mid terrace properties with slate roofs in the Castle and Victoria Road Conservation Area extension.

The scheme is principally for work to the property which is squeezed in between two rather larger, longer and more overbearing properties. The proposal is relatively complex and involves altering and extending both number 16 and 17 at the rear. It also involves rebuilding a small outbuilding in the rear yard of number 17 to form a new home office.
